Look out for the new website’s launch in February. The new social network site will eventually facilitate comprehensive directories of people, initiatives, projects and events. This will make it easier to get involved with all the great stuff going on, be in the know, and become active, engaged members of the transition network. www.transitiontowns.org

The Soil Association have launched a new campaign called Hungry for Change inspired by the film “Food. Inc”. It covers issues such as renewable farming methods, eating less meat and dairy, over-consumption and food education as well as all factors in building soil fertility, changing consumption habits and aiming towards a more sustainable and localised food industry. Check out their website for more information on the film and campaign. www.soilassociation.org
